River Garden is registered and inspected by the Care Inspectorate, the independent regulator for social care services in Scotland.

As we officially registered this year (2025), we are currently awaiting our first formal assessment. We are required to meet strict national standards for Housing Support, and all our staff are committed to upholding these quality standards in their daily work.

2. Contact the Care Inspectorate

You also have the right to complain directly to the Care Inspectorate at any time. You do not need to use our internal complaints process first.






Travelling to River Garden by car.


 River Garden Auchincruive is located 2 mins by car from the main Whitletts roundabout at the junction of the A77/B743. At the roundabout, take the B743 turning signposted Mossblown and Mauchline.


Go past the main Auchincruive estate entrance on the right and continue for ¼ mile and at the bend in the road turn right into the Nellie’s Gate entrance where the car park is located 50m on the left. The gardens and Bothy cafe are a short walk 150m down the hill.


If you require accessible car parking please continue towards the gardens and there are a small number of blue badge parking spaces.
